Day #15 - Everest BaseCamp

Itinerary - Tyangboche to Namche Bazar
Elevation: 12,664’ to 11,319’
It’s 8:45pm here in Rm# 102 at the Mountain View Hotel in Namche Bazar (Elevation 11,319’). I just left a pretty joyous lounge as everybody is excited about tomorrow being our final trekking day. It’s been an amazing experience - but I think folks are ready for warmth and a shower.
Today was a great day. We set out around 8am from Tyangboche. We had a pretty steep, aggressive descent for the first 45 minutes. The rest of the day had a number of ups/downs. It was a peaceful, relaxing hike. We stopped mid-hike for some hot tea as we looked at another amazing view of Mt. Ama Dablam.
We arrived into Namche Bazar around 12:30pm. We sat out on the deck top and ate lunch with a couple beers. Liam and Korby came in after they completed the Performance Trek. It was awesome to listen to their stories from the past few days.
I then walked downtown with Greg to a cafe where a few of our co-trekkers were located. I used the wi-fi - because the hotel’s is very slow. Back to the hotel lounge for dinner and conversation.
I’m making the blog short tonight - we have an 8hr trek ahead of us tomorrow to conclude my Everest BaseCamp trip!!!!
