Coming to you live from the Comfort Inn in Pine Grove, PA. Pretty relaxing day today. Up early at 4:45am. On the trail by 5:45am. We completed our 8.2 miles and made it to our pickup by 8:50am. Rested a bit - and our shuttle showed on time at 9:30am.
Shower, 2-hour nap, laundry, and then resupply completed by 5pm. Our hotel is really well located. There’s a Dollar General next door for resupply and a McDonalds/Arby’s for some quick food options.
Sherpa Mike and I ate lunch/dinner together - but spent the rest of the day doing our own thing. It’s great to completely get away from the trail for a day - helps recharge the batteries.
Good news - Caruso will be here tomorrow and then will continue with us on Wednesday as we head back to the trail.
I spent the better part of the evening going over my finances - it’s been a minute since I’ve looked at things. I keep 3 separate spreadsheets to help organize my life - I needed to catch up with numbers from March until now. Before my trip - I moved all my belongings to a storage shed - so things are pretty simple. No job, no house/apt - I’ll be starting new after my journey.
Tomorrow I plan to take advantage of my Zero and really stay off my feet as much as possible.
